Any of you affected by these floods?

Question

i live in Waukesha, Wisconsin. many people here have had their share of floods, and still are having their share as, many of us are still under water. for those who have just gotten over with the floods, and water has receded into the rivers, now have an even bigger mess to clean up. many business and cities, and people are applying for financial assistants.

it's going to take weeks, months, maybe a year to get all back to normal.

anyone else out there in YA land affected by these floods?

p.s. i did lose something in the floods, my shoes. it was my fault for wondering into the flooded streets, but i saw everyone else do so. i did take my shoes home and had them drip dry in the shower. later i went to go take a shower and forgot the shoes were still in the shower drying off. well they got wet again, and got ruined, so i threw them out, and got new a pair.

so that's my only loss. i know others have it worse then my loss, but that's what i get for wondering in the floods.

I am from Waukesha, but am not there at this time....Did downtown businesses near the river get flooded?

No but it's really bad to the north of me by the Fox River. I was traveling to NIU today and there's some homes by the Fox River and I say a good 20 feet from the river and the house is flooded.
