I once got six weeks - & I only fronted the tribunal as a witness for a team-mate who had been reported for striking an umpire.

I copped the six game suspension for abusing the tribunal panel.

  1. Nah I haven't been reported but, I've been before the tribunal before though, but that's because some dirty prick tripped me :) I went to pick up the ball and got tackled and tried to get my arms up before getting tackled to get a handball out then the umpire called ball up and the guy came at me swinging for elbowing him, I got 50 and while running got tripped from behind :) The guy got 3 weeks :)

  2. tough panel mate, 6 weeks, Christ.

yes i did several times over my footy career, 6 to be exact, got off the first 3, went down the next, it went 2 weeks, 3 and then 4. i got 3 weeks in the 1887 grand final we won, we were all at the pub and someone said, how did you go at the tribunal ROM, ooops, i forgot all about goin, still got 3 weeks though. the 4 was stupid, it was the next season, 1988, had a shocker, after missing the first 3 from suspension, i came back and fractured my collarbone, 6 weeks later, played a few game, had some other 3 week injury and in the last match, i whacked this bloke and got 4 weeks, so missed the entire finals campaign, we lost the granny, i felt like an idiot, i never thought i would 4, maybe 2, but the mongrel i hit, dobbed me in big time.

    that's footy.

  3. only the one time, for a trip, the bloke was to quick for me

  4. Yes, in my last game, was reported for abusive language, received a week ban.

  5. No. Never.

I have never played Aussie Rules football. It is too tough; too hard; too fast; too manly for me.

In fact I have never played any sports; I get my satisfaction out of coming into this section and talking up big as to what I have done....and in fact I've really done nothing.

  6. Yes.

I copped a few suspensions while playing country football. In the local competition everyone knew the other team & there were always a few old scores to settle - from basketball, cricket, girlfriend jealousies & whatnot.

I didn't get reported or suspended when playing in the city - mainly because of the stricter discipline & consequences should one get rubbed out.

I was only ever suspended for striking with my fists; never with elbows, boots, knees or for charging - not gentlemanly  things to do!!
