I love this bit:

"Dietician Sian Porter said: "The results suggest a serious lack of awareness among the public about how much saturated fat they consume on a daily basis and a lack of knowledge concerning the need to reduce their overall consumption."

Yeah maybe.

Or maybe we work our guts out all week and on weekends just want to kick back and enjoy something more tasty than Hummus and Celery. We all gotta go sometime, and I'm determined to enjoy my life while I'm here.

Oh and I'm happy to go private, before anyone complains about me burdening the NHS. . .

Anyone for a bacon sarnie?

    Tomatoes

  4. not today but ill be cooking the usual sunday morning sausage bacon eggs mushrooms tomatoes hash browns and fried bread tomorrow :)

  5. I prefer your theory. Extra bacon on my sarnie, cheers.

  6. The thing that amazes me is that we didnt used to have all these rules about what we could and couldnt eat - and there was not the amount of overweight people that there is today.

In fact my gran used to make the most delicious food, but the 'food experts' would no doubt say that every single bit of it is unhealthy.  Her and her kin lived very happily until they hit 70+.

Ive had a fab fry up this morning, with the full works.  When I go for a walk later it will soon get shut of it.

I eat what I want, when I want - and ignore the nanny states rules and regulations - they usually change on a weekly basis anyway.

  7. would love a fry up!

however I am pregnant and at the moment fried food makes me be sick!

Anyway, these boffins know nothing about real life, nothing wrong with having the odd fry up, as long as not every day!

Enjoy your breakfast and I only have 8 weeks left before I will be digging out my frying pan!

  8. it`s just scare tactics, eat what you like when you like and be happy...! p.s. where`s my breakfast lol.

  9. No my body is a temple

    besides, I'm out of bacon.

  10. h**l will eat them until i pass over.

  11. that is a weekend staple here, but today we are roasting a pig

  12. h**l an average American has to have at least 1 ounce of fat a day to survive. WTF is a sarnie?

  13. Nobody's saying you can't eat a fry-up.

It's just that if you are going to choose to consume a massive fry-up, perhaps you should be aware of the health issues, not ignorant?

EDIT: Excellent, but not everyone is as well informed as you about what they eat.

  14. meh, i dont care!

i luuuuuuuuurve fry ups!!! besides im not fat or unhealthy and i eat loads of cr*p!! its all exagerations!!

  15. I have a fry-up every morning.  Beans, bacon, 2 eggs, tomato, and a fried slice.

Hasn't done me much harm, though I am nearly 20st.  But I put my weight down to being 'big boned'.
