Any old combat crewmen here?

Did you see the story about the WW2 Airman just found hanging in his harness? http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20080829/tts-png-australia-us-japan-wwii-airman-972e412.html Wow! Wonder what happened to his Shroud Cutter? Do they still issue those things?

He could have died on the way down, or been shot by the enemy before he could get loose from his chute.  I hope it was quick and simple for him, whoever he was.  And I hope we will know who he was before it is all over.

Not sure if they still issue what you had. I have a day-glow orange switch blade with a cutting hook on it.
