  1. I hope it takes out New Orleans again.

  2. If a hurricaine threatened Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas and Illinois, corn prices would skyrocket.

If a supply of a product is threatened, the law of supply and demand begins to work.  If the supply will be less, the prices go up.

You need to learn about economics and watch less MTV.

  3. i know....next think you know, they are gonna sky rocket prices just cause of kids needing to go to school...oh wait, thats already happening now they are considering cutting back school days because of it.

  4. Not only does it raise oil prices, it raises GAS prices AT THE PUMP!! How can it be that when oil prices go down it takes forever to see the impact at the pump, but when oil prices go up, it shows up at the pump almost instantaneously. The argument when the oil price goes down is that is for "futures" so naturally we wouldn't see the price at the pump go down. But now, why doesn't that work in reverse when oil prices go up????!!!

  5. Yes, exactly.  It's not like this is the first hurricane ever.

  6. They've been so deceitful that it becomes exceedingly difficult to believe in what they say, even if there is some truth in that article.

I don't trust what the mainstream media says anymore.

  7. Yes. That is how speculating works. But the prices driven up by silly things will drop just as fast. It has always been like that but now people have decided to pay attention and drive themselves crazy.

  8. George Bush would say,,,

when u just ask this question and caused people to go to another site this caused more power to be supplied to support the incoming traffic from computers and web surfers,,thus causing a ripple effect to occur..

With that it would take more oil to control the power supplied to home computers and also cause oil to raise up $25 a barrel..

-and do not f**t,,by doing so ur creating your own gas,,which is hurting the oil companys from making profits,so sadly to say they must already raise it another $25 just to cope with the loss of the one "self made gas" that u have just created.....
