Any one been to turks & caicos???

CAUSE I'M GOING & I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THEY HAD CELL PHONE RECEPTION?? =]

You can get reception there, however you will have to have international added to your calling card.  I was not able to pick up my regular Sprint plan or my At&t plan (for work).  I was in Providenciales (not sure of the spelling)

If it is vital for you to maintain cell phone contact, then perhaps you should consider renting a cell phone from Cable & Wireless, the local provider. You can enquire at the airport. where they have an office.

I was there over 8 years ago and we had pretty good reception back then.

More importantly, make sure your service provider supports service there. You can usually go to their website to check out a map,

I am a travel agent, so I travel quite frequently, and the past few years there have been very few places where I wasn't able to get cell phone reception. I even made a phone call from a little sand bar out in the middle of French Polynesia...

Turks and Caicos has come a long way in the last decade. We loved it 8 years ago, so I'm sure it's an ever greater place to visit now that the tourism industry has really had some fun building it up.
