  1. I took Clomid for 10 months before my doctor took me off of it.  The Clomid was making my follicles twice the size they should be. Although I was ovulating, it was extremely painful and it wasn't good for the follicles to be that big. Best of luck to you :)

  2. I was on it for 6 cycles and nothing happened for me.  You are not alone, trust me:)  I have been ttc for over 2 years now and I feel frustrated, so I know how you feel.  It is hard when you don't know anybody going through it.  Doctors tell you to relax and that is very hard to do.  Good luck to you!!!!

  3. Currently on CD11 with 4th cycle with Clomid TTC #3,

Don't understand I conceived my 1st daughter on the first try with 50mg and 2nd daughter didn't need clomid as conceived naturally no meds ( was not expected), Don't know why it's taking so long this time. Oh well all we can all do is keep our heads up and think positive.

    Good Luck

  4. I am also on my second cycle of Clomid.  I start it any day now.  I too feel pretty sad.  It's funny, everyone says not to worry or think about it...but I find that it's all I can think about!  It's just that I was so sure it would have worked right away because we didn't need it for our first child!

Are you having any side effects?

  5. hey dont worry i had had three cycles on clomid and not yet preg.just be calm and try to relax urself..else harmone will get diturbed.....i am planning for IUI.

  6. Def. not alone my dear! ! I've been on it for @ least 6 months or so now, the first dose of course was 50mg, now my RE put me on 100mg, which seems to be helping with things, but not creating a miracle yet!

I think people think of Clomid too much as a miracle drug of some sort, and to me, that is actually what I thought in the beginning as well, but now all these months later of using it...I'm becoming a little down in the dumps!

They say that typically after 3-4 months of using it,and you don't become pregnant, then they'll try something else, like injections maybe.

    Best of luck!

  7. Thats nothing....Clomid cycle 1, CD 41 still waiting on AF (BFN onHPT 3x)

Planning on seeing the doc tomorrow though

  8. cycle 3 nothing yet..

  9. Hi Amy,

I was on clomid for about 6 months before I got pregnant, and the pregnancy was successful!  I was also on progesterone on certain days to help build up a healthy lining in my uterus.

Do you have any other complications diagnosed by the doctor?  Were you put on clomid because you were irregular in your ovulation?  I also had a slightly high FSH level, which indicates so/so egg quality.

If you feel like you have been on clomid long enough and are not satisfied with the results, make sure you ob/gyn does more diagnostic work to rule out or pinpoint any other potential problems.  If you have not already done so, start working with a good fertility specialist.  Many insurances do cover some services.

    Good luck!
