Any one good enough to explain Phase diagrams and Eutectic mixtures?

  1. A eutectic mixture is a ratio of two materials such that the resulting mixture has the lowest possible melting point.

    For the old lead based solder that mixture was 63% tin and 37% lead which melts at 180 C
