Any one got a good short story idea? please help!!!!?

i have to do a short story and i cant think off anything, we practiced by reading the landlady and lamb to the slaughter so something like that would be good, thanks best answer gets 10 points. And dont say do your own homework as that is annoying

well, i did a short story a couple of years a go - a bit lame, but oh well....

There was this guy who was a computer game geek and he got bullied at school. As an escape, he would play his computer games - and one day he finds himself sucked into one of his war games and he has to fight....blah blah, he's no longer a weakling being bullied, but a hero!

You could get alot of descriptive stuff in here - but if you're considering using this idea - change it a bit, it is my idea after all! :)

how bout a short story bout a guy trying to come up with an idea for a short story so he posts a question on yahoo! to find ideas and this girl posts an answer pretty much like my one and he writes his short story based on her comment!?!?!?

Try this:

get a sheet of lined paper

on each line, write one thing that you remember

you'll end up with tons of memories

then, choose two of them a write a paragraph on each

then rewrite each paragraph us in a bit of figurative language

use the one you like best as the basis of your story

the best stories are the ones you have experienced -- just add some bs and you're all set

If you have to do this project with others, you should agree on one topic that you all enjoyed. Maybe a story about a person's life around your age to show how you feel about certain topics. It's great for it to have an overall meaning, like "believe in yourself" or something. Also, how many pages is it supposed to be? Because based on what you've said so far you can really make it intresting with giant words.

The whole idea is to get you to think of a subject you'd like to elaborate on...perhaps you could think of a story from your summer holidays?
