Any one having problems with AVG free 8.0

Question

computer closes down then restarts when scan is running. anyone else having this problem? or could it be a problem with my computer?

it only seems to happen when its avg is running.

I have AVG free 8.0 and it works fine. I don't no what your problem could be. Try reinstalling it.

Are you using Vista by any chance?

Had the same problem myself. been using AVG happily for many years but 8.0 seems to be a real pain in the butt. As well as causing crashes seems to hog system resources too and auto-updates don't work properly for me.

Have just switched to Avira Antivir which is also free and so far this seems to be a much better program.

My advice would be to switch to Avira or to uninstall AVG 8.0 and go back to 7.x!
