you register people in you pal pad in key items. you must register their name and friend code. your friend code is located in your pal pad under check friend code

first if u don't have a pal pad go to a pokemon center and go downstairs to the right and go talk to the first lady to the right and she'll register u. Then after that check your pal pad which is in the key items and u can check your fc. Then after that exchange friend codes with someone else, meaning giving someone your fc and someone give their fc to u so u can register their fc in your palpad. After u exchange fc then go downstairs in the pokemon center and talk to the lady in the middle and you'll be on wifi only if you have a wireless router and it's working. Then it will show up on the screen if any of your friends are on wifi.
