  1. Yes!

Richmond is a truly beautiful city full of history. There is Monument Ave- a tree lined street of dogwoods and magnolias and statues of General Lee and Stonewall Jackson and other heroes of the Confederacy. Large white columned mansions grace every corner. There is trendy "Carytown"- lots of shops and boutiques and a lot of hipsters and indie musicians hang out there. We have tons of great restaurants- ranging from Traditional BBQ to Thai Food. We also have many upscale eateries such as The Tobacco Company and The Can Can and Julep's. Shockoe Slip is a very neat area with renovated Tobacco Warehouses turned into restaurants, shops, and apartments.

We are right on the James River- so you can swim or go kayaking (I wouldnt recommend it though) We have a lot of great live music- and great local bands- The National a new music venue opened up on West Broad St.

The Jefferson Hotel is a beautiful Hotel downtown with a grand staircase- that was inspired and copied for the film 'Gone With The Wind". We  have great neighborhoods with real city living such as Church Hill- and a neighborhood called "The Fan"- sprawled out Victorian rowhouses all in pristine condition.

We have plenty of coffee shops and art galleries, as well as Museums,  and very a large Botanical garden open all year 'round to the public.

Not to mention our fine Southern hospitality, and genteel way of living. In Richmond you are an hour from North Carolina, Less than 2 hours from VA Beach, and less than 2 hours from Washington DC and the mountains. Its a great location!

  3. No, I'm from Texas.

    Lol!

Look it up on the internet though.

  4. I'm not from Richmond, but I just passed through there a few days ago coming back to Illinois from Dublin, VA.

It looks pretty normal to me.. I didn't think too hard about it. Nothing really stood out. But then again, maybe that's just because I drove right through it.

Sorryyyyy.. I wish I could tell you more.

  5. I used to live there. It's a very quaint, but rather "old money" type of town. It's near the state capitol buildling, and I suppose you could say it's metropolitan.

  6. I live in newport news, im going thier tommarow, for wrestling<3

  7. I travel there a few times a week.  It is the only city in the US where you can go whitewater rafting or kayaking within the city limits.
