I have had about three known virus attacks in the past and i no longer trust anything to do with the internet.it is a minefield of deviant hackers and i am hoping i can stop worrying about stalkers.

  1. I would suggest you check out some of these anti-virus and anti-spyware software programs along with a couple other recommended programs:

    -McAfee 12 in 1 Security Center (anti-virus)

or AVG if you want a free program

    -Spyware Doctor with AV (anti-spyware)

or Spybot S&D if you want a free program

    -PC Tools Firewall Plus(free) (firewall)

    -ThreatFire(free) (added virus protection)

-CCleaner(keep computer running pretty good, cleans up history and whatnot)

    -Firefox(safe browser)

  2. I use and highly recommend Sandboxie, along with doing all of my surfing on a limited user account(*) while using Firefox as my browser.

Also, I have my CCleaner configured to *securely* delete the contents of Sandboxie's "DefaultBox" after my surfing session rather than using Sandboxie's own delete ;-)

(*) You probably know this, but for the benefit of those who don't, malware is as strong or as weak as the account that is being used.  Therefore if a person gets infected using an Administrator account, the infection has  unlimited access to your system; but if you get infected using a limited account, there is less damage that the malware can do.

  3. you can use sandbox ie. It works as it says. But if you are using firefox , you are enough protected if you install NoScript plugin.
