  1. hi, i live in pgh,  i always look in the want ads in my local paper. i saw a add for royal c, in there a few times

  2. It all depends what country you are from. I know a lot of agents charge you nearly the amount you can earn in a year. If you are from Europe or US you can normally apply directly to the cruise lines. If you are from the phillipines you have to go through the agent although I don't think they have very high fees (the fees cover the medical, visas etc). In India, Indonesia etc it gets a bit harder. Some agents are a rip off. There is one in Bombay that doesn't charge much - only the basic costs.

Can you tell me which country you are from?

  3. Go directly to the concessionaries that handle a department

the gift shops are easy to get in

    www.hardingbros.co.uk

phone interviews, easy, no fees. They even will pay your ticket to start, but will take it off your pay check.

They handle the shops on some 40 ships.

bigger, less money, more ships, some 90 or so).

You have to pay your ticket though.

A good thing from the shops is, you are staff, not crew,

since the shops dont open while in port (usually), you get your days off and can see the places you stop.

Sea days its a little harder, work some 12/13 hours, but thats normal on ships.

Hardings does hire any nationality, as far as your english skills are good, more languages better...

The cruise lines say they do, but i don´t think its true. Not for staff positions.
