  1. Try M-T-G. It will aid in hair growth and killing fungus. Also check to make sure your horse isn't suffering from ring worm. This could be a reason he's rubbing off his hair.

Make sure you are cleaning your tack, blankets, and grooming tools properly after every use to prevent ring worm from spreading to other animals and yourself. Also, wash your hands before and after handling your horse.

  2. I second the M-T-G love the stuff.

  3. how we got our arab's tail to grow: (when we were finshed her tail trailed 2-3feet on the ground behind her)

braid it, vet wrap it, weave bailing twine into for the flies.

change the vet wrap 1-2 times a week.  brush it out when we changed the vet wrap

wash and condition once every other week.(or more if you choose to).

we used mane and tail soaps, becasue they worked well for us.

as for the mane, i cant help out as much, but braid it once everyother day, brush it out, and try to keep it up.  our qh rubbed out half his mane, and we tried the braiding thing, it did work well, but was harder to keep up with.
