I am looking for a preschool in Tulsa, OK that is not a daycare. I have tried searching the internet but all I can find are daycares or church preschools. Is there anything like a real preschool that is not a daycare or not? Please help. Thanks for everyone who responds.

  1. depends on what part of Tulsa you are in... frankly your best chances are to be outside of the actual city of Tulsa in a suburb.

Most of the suburban schools offer a pre-k program that is for 4 year olds.... were you looking for something even earlier than that?

  2. Call your local elementary school and churches.  They should be able to provide you with names of programs in your area.  Then visit each program and observe a classroom in progress.  A good preschool program should provide plenty of free choice time with lots of constructive activities for the children to engage in.  The schedule should also allow for some outdoor play time every day, weather permitting.  The staff should be actively involved with the children during all activities.  The children and staff should appear to be happy and busy.  The environment should be clean and well-organized.  Trust your own instincts.  If you feel uncomfortable about a program, be sure to consider other programs as well.
