Any one know what questions are asked at a US Non immigration visa interview and how long it takes?

im not really sure but they will probably ask you why youre applying for a visa, if you have any relatives and questions about what youre planning to do during your stay in the US.

i suggest you look at the person in the eye that way they will think youre telling the truth.

Dara there are many different situations. first what type of visa is it?  a student visa, work visa? Some interviewers ask trick questions to see if your answer match the application or petition. For example a fiancee visa, they will ask you or your fiance' how you met, what date you met, or how long you have been together. If the answers don't match the original petition they can deny the petition.  In some interviews they won't ask any questions at all. It depends on what country you are from and what type of visa. You must have proof of financial support with you, either with personal funds or a sponsor, the sponsor must qualify financially so you dont become a burden of support to the US gov.  Hope this helps, Every interview is different.
