For other types of flights, try one of the big 3 Internet companies - Expedia, Travelocity, and Priceline.

If you are american and a student go to www.statravel.com or www.studentuniverse.com.  Great cheap flights in advance and amazing deals last-minute.

There are several sites out there that you can look in and compare to get the rates that you are looking for to Germany. Try cheaptickets, orbits, travelocity, or maybe you could go directly to the websites for specific airlines and check to see what they have available. I like travelocity myself. Good luck with your quest.

Usually they don't fly outside Europe.

If you want find something from Usa to Europe try:

Try all of them because often you can find quite big price differences.

If you plan on going anywhere else in europe like london, rome or paris, germanwings.com has many affordable flights to germany especially to cologne (koln).
