Almost all cashew nut being supplied to local market are seconds. The main reason is demand for Indian Cashew nut from the Export market all over the World.

The major and only supplies will come from Mangalore. There are more than 100 cashew nut, crushing and exporting units are there. They supply the second and later grades to local market. Please note that Cashew nut is graded as " Counts ", that is number of nuts per pound of weight. Lower the count, better the quality. You can also go for " broken " which costs less, but the demand is more, as it costs less.
