Any one take Paroxetine or Paxil for depression? and...?

Does any one take these medication and has it helped you....How long does it take for you to feel the effects...How do you feel now that you take it and i'll take any advice that helps with depression...PLEASE help!!!

I have taken Paxil for more than ten years. I felt some slight improvement in about a week. My mood was significantly improved after two or three more weeks.

I have also taken Desipramine (old drug, not used much now), Buspar, Seroquel and Cymbalta. Paxil worked the best for me.

But, the best drug for one person might not be the best for someone else. The effectiveness of psychiatric medications can vary quite a bit from person to person.

It takes about 4-6 weeks for the drugs to take full effect.

I used to take Paxil and it really helped for about 4 months.  Then it just stopped working.  Not even a high dose would bring it back.  Something else to be depressed about...  I felt the effect within a couple of weeks.
