  1. h**l No I love the RED SOX!

  2. no one is tired. maybe jealous is the right word? i have been a yankees fan my whole life and some of the best moments in baseball have happened with the yankees and red sox.  any person who is tired of this is garbage and is not a real fan

  3. omg Red Sox are my team!!

  4. hello let it keep going.     complain when you get the coverage.

this way epsn gets the money. But i havent heard espn say anything about red sox or yankees rivarly acppet for the up coming games.

change the channel is that simple.

your saying there spoiled rich kids.... but you complaing about two things the red sox and yankees are the ones who dont do it all the time.

but to say there spoiled beause of espn is really judeging c**p

  5. Yeah....there are many more exciting teams to watch than the Yankees or Red Sox.   Their style of play is quite boring and their teams are full of whining drama queens.

I wish they would show teams that play with the fundamentals -- real baseball.  Teams like the Twins, Angels, A's play this kind of baseball....and they are successful playing this way.

The Yankees and Red Sox are ruining baseball.

  6. Yes, GO PHILLIES!!!!

  7. I asked a similar question a couple of months ago because the way ESPN overhypes these 2 franchises is sickening. I define "h**l" as a place where there's only one television and it's tuned to ESPN and you can't find the remote.

The reason ESPN covers these 2 teams more than others is because they're basically local. ESPN is based in Bristol so New England area teams--regrdless of the sport--garner more attnetion than other, more deserving franchises.

At least the Skankees won't make the playoffs this year, and when the Red Sucks get spanked by the Rays we'll get a short break.

  8. There is an obvious East Coast (specifically Northeast) bias on ESPN, they are located 1:25 minutes from NYC and about 2:00 from Boston.

They do spend a little too much time on the Yankees, Red Sox, Celtics, Knicks, Giants, Patriots, etc. But all in all Sportscenter does a pretty good job of keeping things moving. The problem with a 24 hours sports network is they run out of good storylines, so they MURDER the most popular ones (Yanks v. Sox) (Spygate) (T.O) (Steroids) etc.

  9. The Red Sox and Yankees are a great rivalry and the added coverage for these teams is not an issue for me.  Home town papers and local coverage should give you all need regarding your team.  ESPN and other national broadcasts do seem to give added attention to the Red Sox and Yankees but they also provide plenty of information on the other teams as well.

  10. The Red Sox and Yankees are the most arrogant self-centered fans on the planet. They treat fans from other cities with total disprespect and god help you if you are a Cubs fan. If you are a Cubs and and you live in New England, you are just asking for constant "1908" or  "Cubs suck" chants. Its like living on the South Side of Chicago.

  11. I'd like to see an ESPN based on the West Coast, I'm so sick of hearing about the Yankees and Red Sox! Out here, I'm so tired of it I rarely watch SportsCenter or Baseball Tonight. I get my baseball news from the internet. I want to know about MY teams, not the New York Whiners and the Boston We're Finally Goods...

  12. Look, the Sox is my team, but, d**n, if it's not post-season, I get tired of seeing the 20 games played between the two.

The rivalry is by far at its best during the post-season.

    Go Sawx!!!!!!

  13. You can never get tired of the biggest rivalry in sports entertainment, ok maybe it is getting old but it is still fun to watch

  14. no. they are not like spoiled rich kids at all.

  15. No way. These are two teams with great history. Earlier this year when they played each other, it was the first time since 1996 that neither team was in first place. That will change this weekend when the Sox move into first.

How can you get excited for the Phillies vs. Mets? Their meeting usually decided who would finish in SECOND place while the Braves finish first. And everyone knows that second place is just the first LOSER!

  16. Definitely, most of us weren't around when that Babe Ruth thing happened. That is were the rivalry began, right? I think it is time to move on, I understand purists' stand point, but purity went out when the DH was introduced, when interleague began, and the all-star game decided who had home field advantage. It is unfair for the rest of the nation be forced to have to watch an A.L. east game. It should be rotated to the hottest team(s) be nationally televised, the way it was intended to do. Honestly, I am losing interest in baseball, I have been an MMA fan since 1993, and am proud of the explosion of the sport. Watch out major sports, MMA is here to stay.

  17. i am really tired of that c**p/ GO INDIANS!

  18. no not really im a red sox fan.....i see ur a phillies fan , i think the mets will win the division.

  19. I am for one not tired of the biggest rivalry in all sports.

  20. who are the yakees? jk........just slightly....ok, a little more than slightly...they should highlight other rivalries.....i'd like to know more about them too....they are going a little overkill on the Yanks vs. Red Sox rivalry.....its ok though, neither of them will win the series (ha, that comment might get me some thumbs down)

    Go Phils!!

  21. I'm a life long Yankees fan, but yeah, it's a bit overblown, wouldn't you say?
