  1. dolls?

  2. A discussion on animals has endless opportunities. Making sounds, movements, and even a trip to the zoo could make an animal discussion a very strong learning experience. You could have an animal parade and follow each other around making the various sounds of their favorite animal.

  3. I am a preschool teacher and one of our most popular themes each year is transportation. You can do foot painting-paint the bottoms of their feet (which they love) and have them walk across a piece of butcher paper...put out a tray of paint and have the children put the wheels of toy cars in the paint and make race tracks on paper...set up chairs in rows, give the children paper punches and index cards for tickets and they can play train or Polar Express...fill a pan or tub with water, toy boats, sponges, and other things that will either sink or float...paint a large box yellow so it can be a school bus...gather travel brochures, small suitcases, etc. so the children can pretend they are going on a trip...

  4. Colours, you can do any number of activities with the theme of colors...

Summer: arts & crafts, discuss the weather, summer sports (swimming, riding a bike or tricycle..)

Animals : same, discuss types, draw pictures, pretend to be different animals...

  5. My son, who is 26 months, loves anything dinosaur.  He can hold an entire conversation about them, and also loves to play dinosaur.  Just an idea.
