Any one tried aqua ban herbal pills?

i suffer ibs constipation but i feel full bloated all time am sure am holding water what did you think about the pills

I have IBS and I can take those tabs ok. Are you feeling bloated because of the constipation or just feeling bloated? I use Fybergel for constipation (did you know you can use it to bung you up as well - for some reason it will work really well for both) and Activa yogurt to help with general bloating.

Regular use of diuretics, even mild herbal ones, is not a great idea, your body soon compensates for the diuresis by increasing your thirst and they cease to have any effect.

Lily H's idea of Fybogel is a good one, and worth a try, but though 50% of IBS sufferers do improve with increased fibre, the other 50% feel worse!

The only drug that I have found to help consistantly, other than syptomatic use of antispasmodics, which does help the cramps, is low dose amitripylline, which probably acts as a smooth muscle relaxant.
