  1. if there is some wet or damp part of your cage or the water bottle has leaked it could of got a cold

  2. Calm down, its normal. Mine sneezes just to talk. I've taken her to the vet to make sure. My friend's hamster sneezes all the time and it isnt sick. Don't freak out.

  3. I'm not a vet, but the reason is probably because of the bedding your using.  The best bedding to use is Carefresh or Aspen because their 100% healthy for hamsters and they absorb pee really well.  Make sure that around your cage, theirs no dust because that can make anyone sneeze.  If your giving him dust baths that could also be the reason.  Give him sand baths because those clean better and their a lot safer.  Good luck!!=)

  4. Call your local vet clinics and see if any of them treat small animals. If so, ask them!

''Anyone who's a vet'', when you're online, how can you tell who's truly a vet and who's just claiming to be one? You have to be careful or else you may end up taking advice that will do more harm than good for your little hamster.

Anyways, keeping him on everything from the pet store, isn't necessarily a good thing. What bedding where they using?

Also, how long have you had him? If he's still brand new, the sneezing could be an effect from new smells.

Constant sneezing may be a symptom of upper respiratory infection, and that needs to be treated by a vet (who is able to visually evaluate him!), before it gets worse.

EDIT: You should NOT use pine bedding. Pine & Cedar are known for causing respiratory complications. Please switch to Aspen ASAP!

  5. If you're so concerned with a vet answering maybe you should see a vet in person since they can tell you more then anyone here.

  6. he caught a cold! if u have washed him/her in cold water never do it again i had done the same thing with my hamster but mine didn't sneeze. if u wanna wash him in future use a wet towel or a piece of cloth or warm water but normally he will do it by himself just like a cat does!
