Any opinions on Westbrook's new contract?

Question

This is my opinion, use the money to persuade a top receiver to join the team.

Running backs are only valuable for so long, then they wear down. Brain is already at the peak of his career, it's only downhill from there.

With the departure of T.O they don't have any weapons at that position. Why not address what you need most?

he has been thier best player and most consistent player for the past few years now.. he deserves the new contract.  but your right he is at his peak hopefully he can have a few more productive years!

As a Cowboys fan, all I can say is, c**p!  No, really.  I don't like the Eagles but Westbrook is one h**l of a player.  That is definitely one guy that I would never take credit from.

Now if Philly only relies on him and McNabb, they could have some problems...  which of course is fine with me!  LOL!

Westbrook deserved the money...he is one of the most underrated players in the league having over 2,000 total yards last year...I believe they got him for a bargain...plus he is a great team player and isn't all about having the best stats...example is last year they were beating the Cowboys with the ball and he broke free with less than a minute on the clock instead of going into the endzone for a score and getting better stats he stopped and fell down at the 1 or 2 yard line...to me that sounds like a player who cares more about winning than being the best player...The Eagles kept one h**l of a player at a great price...

Westbrook isn't only a great player, top rusher, top reciever. He is a selfless leader in the locker room. If you release a guy like that, it will cause problems in your locker room. That is why they gave him the contract.
