Question:

Any other Independents tired of Democrats?

I'm an independent voter. I've voted for Bush and I've voted for Dukakis. Not many of us can make that statement. I belong to neither party. I've always found something I can agree with in both parties.

That being said, I'm starting to think I'll never vote Democratic again. I've always leaned towards the Democrats because of their character. I'm sort of a social liberal, I guess. But with the rudeness I've seen during this election by Obama supporters, I'm starting to think that the Democratic party is a party I can not support again. Since when did being liberal mean being angry and rude? That is as far from what I expected from the Democrats as anything I can imagine.

I have great respect for John McCain and I don't see how mocking his age is acceptable. It's the same the racism directed towards Obama. I've even seen some try to ridicule his time as a POW. Palin has been on the ticket for one day and I'm amazed at the sexist comments I've heard and read about her. And this is supposed to be the party of Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton? I don't know what has happened to the Democratic party but it's really lost what once made it so special.

I wonder if anybody else has noticed this and feels the same way?

And if the answer to this behavior is simply that this is what the Republicans have done for years, then that's a horrible argument. To simply do what you know is wrong makes you just as bad, if not worse.

  1. I voted for Bush Sr. NOT Bush W.  I even voted Bush Sr. instead of Clinton.  Now, after 8 years of W, I am so turned off by the ultra right wing that I will never vote for any republican.  I used to like McCain but after Bush W took over McCain became a W puppet.

  2. I agree with BOKO.  I'm tired of Republicans destroying the constitution by using fear of terrorism.  But we now have a Democratic congress who is going along with it.  Tired of Republicans using fear to drive their empire building, but we have a democratic congress who keeps funding the war.  I'm tired of both parties using fear, Supreme Court Justices, and policies that are designed to be "noble and compassionate" that force Americans to be like slaves and give their money to the federal government through taxes, fees, and regulatory rules to destroy the Constitution.  That is why I now support Ron Paul and his Campaign for Liberty that is trying to reform the Republican Party.

  3. LOL! You poseurs are funny.

  4. You don't make any sense.

You are ridiculing the party for being willing to get down and dirty like the Republicans.  Yeah, it sucks, but taking the high road loses you elections because people are stupid.  Democrats are not going to let the Karl Rove hate machine run them over again.

  5. I'm an independent and it's the Republicans who exhausted me, years ago, with their broken promises on spending, on the war, and with their vile disprespect of the U.S. Constitution in a transparent attempt to rule through the (very very expensive) politics of fear.  No more war profiteering.  No more exploded budgets.  And no more Republicans for this proud Independent.  Ever.

  6. Hahaha you have got to be kidding me .. It's the republicans who are the rude ones .. seriously you need to open you're eyes ..

  7. I'm actually a Republican but a moderate one, and I don't think you should give up on the Democrats. Give up on Obama sure, but don't leave an entire party hanging. It steams me up when people compare McCain to Bush like they're twins ( mainly because they're both republicans), they HATE each other. Think back to when the Bushs camp. claimed McCains adopted daughter as the product of McCain with a black hooker in the primaries year 2000.

I agree with you how rude obama supporters are, I don't like him at all. Vote McCain. But the next cycle around give both candidates a shot.

  8. how are u trying to fool, u are more republican than Cheney

  9. Tired of Republicans or cons

  10. Are you nuts? Have  you not seen and heard the hateful comments made about Obama and Michelle? He has been called many names that I can't even repeat, but he has been called a monkey, dumbo, hitler, marx, muslim, white hater, watermelon eater, racist, anti-American, American hater, white hater, etc. And poor Michelle has been compared to a gorilla & frankenstein and has been called all the names that Obama has been called and more. And they are all lies!

To call McCain old may not be nice but it is the truth, I know because I am old too, and the first to admit it. The retirement age in the US is 66 years old, so it is valid to question why a person who is 6 years older than the retirement age is running for president. This is not mocking his age, it is a valid question. And the sexist comments about Palin are coming from the Republicans! They are so proud that she is "hot" and claiming this is the reason that Democrats are so jealous of McCain's pick of VP.

There has even been questions about having pools to bet on how long  before Obama is assasinated. Get off your high horse, if you don't want to vote for Obama, fine, but don't go off on the Democrats for being fed up with the horrible things that have been said about their candidate. I wish that the only thing that has been said about Obama is a criticism of his age. I notice that you have great respect for MCCain, but you don't even mention Obama. I think you are a fake.

Additional Comments: I am delighted that I could restore your low opinion of the Democrats for you. I guess it bothered you that someone called you on your obvious attempt to discredit the Democratic Party.  I wrote the truth, and that was something for which you were not prepared.
