his rights? We are in the process of trying to get my son's birth father to terminate his rights. He owes back paid child support to 4 different women so every time the sherrif serves him with termination papers, he hides. My son's birth mom has tried to contact him but he won't talk to her either. He wouldn't talk to her while she was pregnant as well. Eventually we will advertise in the paper and what not, and his rights will get terminated due to being unresponsive, etc... It's still nerve racking though. I was wondering if this was hard on anybody else and I would love to hear how it worked out.

  1. It took us 18 mos, but in then end we knew that his rights were protected. It was suggested that we agree to the b-mom put he father as unknown, but because we knew better, we couldn't go through with it. He did have warents and was afraid to go to court, but when we were there, they never checked into his status and he went home without a problem and is still wanted.

That 18 mos was hard, but I knew where their hearts were and I had no doubts that thing would move forward. It was a matter of getting him to court to sign,... that's all
