  1. I understand what ur saying but the best form of protest is to root on the american team so they get the gold.

But i see what ur saying and i agree in a way

  2. No, and as far as I can tell, it would pretty much be a silent and useless protest.  I have severe reservations about whether the U.S. should have participated in the China games.  But, we have Olympic Committees, standards, and people who oversee our participation in the games, not to mention politicians.  It's kind of a hard call though.  I think there is something noble about people putting aside their differences to come together to compete fairly.  I think there's a lot rotten about China, and I don't like to support their practices.  But I will find another way to not support China's policies.  I will write to my legislator, I will not buy goods made in China, I will do what I can, but to boycott watching the Olympics doesn't seem like an effective way to add my voice to this issue.

  3. Sure...no one cares anyways...you watching or not is of no importance to the rest of the world

  4. that is a minimal effort that is dumb.  just support your team. no one in this big world will care if you don't watch. there is an olympic and your country is already represented. so what are you trying to do? waste your time?

  5. I'm not watching, but not because of China.  Because of boredom.

And, it's FOOTBALL TIME, BABY!!  Who wants to watch roided out "women" fling a javelin and swim in a pool?

  6. no. I'm looking forward to watching the olympics. i and many other people will take great offense to ur negative comments. Do u understand what the olympic r. how about u google it? i understand that u don't agree with china's government or plans, but by u acting that stupid mean that u are not supporting the great athletes representing the US. so protest, but we're gonna stand by our country.

    p.s. I'm chinese.and was born in china

  7. I'm not protesting, i just have better things to do

  8. I think the fact that W. is attending the games is disgraceful. No American President has ever attended the Olympic games on foreign soil. W chose not to attend the games in Athens, the seat of Democracy, but he is choosing to attend these games in Beijing, despite China's actions in Tibet and all of the Chinese human rights violations.

    W. has done more than any other US president to destroy our position as the defenders of human rights worldwide. He has no shame.

  9. im watching them but china is disgusting. i mean the algae that ppl could walk on it was so thick GROSS. oh yeah and they also had a ban on cars and anything with motors. they werent aloud to run anything with a motor  90 days up until the olymipics because the pollution was so bad. you think they would have started clean up before now!!! jeez! whoever picked this site for the olymipics must have been paid big bucks to have the olympics in china cuz no normal person would go there and say this would be a great spot for the olympic games!!

anyway that is just my opinion

  10. I choose not to mix politics in with sporting events.  One has nothing to do with the other.  I will watch especially since my best friends son is part of the opening ceremony.

  11. In my opinion, the Olympics have the same spirit whether or not they are hosted in a country of political oppressors.  And anyways, the Chinese government is so ignorant that protesting doesn't even help.  I say we create an underground army.  We must assassinate the people who started this tyrannical rule over Tibet.  It is the most effective way. And everyone knows the Buddhists of Tibet can't use violence so someone should do so for them .
