Any other cross country runners?

Question

what is the average time for a high school cross country runner? you know, in the 3 mile races?

also im interested in how fast you can run it...just wonderin...;]

For girls it's something like 19 to 25 minutes.

For guys probably 16 to 23.

Last year I was 13 and my best was 18:24. I haven't done any races yet this year, but I'm sure I can do something in the 16 minutes range.

Well i can run 3 miles in about 22-23 minutes and i'm 14 (turning 15 this year though)

I'm guessing, but i would say the average time is about...

27(12 years of age)

26(13 years of age)

25(14 years of age)

24(15 years of age)

23(16 years of age)

22 (17 years of age)

But hey, as i said, i'm just guessing and it might vary from country to country. Not sure.

And it's also the average....i know lots of people who can WAY WAY WAY faster than this.

In the school competitions where you verse people from other schools, i came about 20 out of 80 (this was in a 2 mile race though). So hopefully that will give you an idea about where i come in the pack and can help you decide by yourself what you think the average is.

im 12 and i can run 2 miles in 13:59 so im guessing that i can probably run a 3 mile race in about 23-24 minutes. but i know high school girls that can run 3 miles in 21-23 minutes. hope this helped!!! =]

I've seen anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, boys and girls.

I can probably run a 5k in 19:30 ~.
