  1. I had Ilocano friends back in college. They were smart, intelligent, hard-working, practical, and outstanding in the field of the arts. They also have this certain approach when it comes to friendship. I can't explain it but I can really differentiate it from my other friends from another province.

  2. I'll try to be nice since my answer from the other question was deleted!=P

  3. just say to them" KURIPOT".

  4. They are G.I.

    Genuine Ilokano.

  5. IGOROT is different from ILOCANO..

IGOROT are those from the mountain province..

ILOCANOS are the people from Ilocos Region

  6. "...the first thoughts that instantly came to mind were things associated with Ilocanos: The Marcoses, the tobacco,  and the popular Ilocano dishes such as pinakbet, papaitan, longganisa, empanada and bagnet. My favorite vegetable – the saluyot – was also used to describe the Ilocanos.  Ilocanos are also known for their industry, cleanliness and even heroism. Historical records have it that many of them died for their country during the Spanish times and World War II."

These are descriptions borrowed from a traveler as I have very limited association with Ilocanos.

  7. igorot?

  8. They are "masikap" which means they always thrive to achieve their goals. They are also friendly. =)

  9. very hard working.  I believe the Ilocanos are the reason the US military carries the Colt 1911 .45 cal handgun.  During the Phil/Am war, the Ilocanos would attack the US soldiers and the 380 cal pistols the US isssued were ineffective, so they had to go to a larger caliber.  Douglas McArthur had a hand in changing to the larger caliber, I think.

  10. ilokaok
