  1. Hey, I was managing for a while in the spa.  The massage therapists were from all over the world, they work hard as on sea days you can have massages back to back, which can be hard on the arms and hands.  You will need to go to training in London as the company that runs the spa's on board the majority of ships are Steiner.  In the trainig acadamy you will be taught the different signature treatments and you can be there anything from 2 to 6 weeks, after this time you will be allocated a ship.  The tips were great for massage averaging about 600 to 800$ for 7 days, on top of this you get the chance to earn commission which is also great.  On a 7 day cruise you normally get 1 and a half days off, this is obviously in port, but also you can get Incentive hours which means more time off!!!!!! Its hard work, but at the same time its great, you see the world, meet new people, have a fab fab time what more could you want. Enquire about it and then see how you feel, you need to be a strong minded person, and if you want $$ its there for you to take, you just gotta work hard!!  Enjoy.
