Ugh I am 37 weeks and sooooo tired. I work full time, and I'm almost dozing off. I screwed up one experiment already today. I need sleep in the worst sort of way. I get to go to lunch in half an hour, maybe that will help.

Any other working women in their last trimester having the same issue? How do you stay awake and alert?

  1. YES!  I am 39 weeks today.  It is so hard for me to focus on work, but with my leave situation, I can't take off early (cause I want my time to be with my baby girl).  I have finally started drinking some caffiene (like one coke) to stay awake, and getting more rest after work, cause otherwise I'd be dead to the world.  Good luck!

  2. OMG YES!!!!

I am supposed to working on a fall course, and for a bunch of other things right now... but i'm slacking so bad!!

I can't focus on anything but the baby... I'm driving my poor husband nuts!  All I talk about is baby, I think its a biologically programmed thing or something.....

Yes, I'm tired, not working full time, but I am a grad student and the only thing that seems to get me back on track is swimming.  If I swim, I feel more focused afterwards....

  3. i am 36w2 days and work 5-9 at an office behind a desk so its killin my back and i am almost asleep! lol. i am obviously on here trying to waste some time but i do get up and walk around the office and make sure i am drinking alot of cold water. otherwise i eat very small pieces of fruit and granola bars to help keep me alert. hope this helps and good luck momma!

  4. Ohhhh yes. Im 39 weeks pregnant and still at work :( i havent really found anything that keeps me awake.....sometimes i have to just get a dr pepper or something with caffeine to stay awake. I get alot of contractions so that kind of makes it difficult to actually fall asleep lol

  5. I am 34 weeks. I am sooooooooooooooooo tired! I was just thinking how embarrassing it will be when I just pass out! lol. I work at a desk, just like the girl above and my back is killing me. I have already trained my replacement so I don't have alot to do here. Good luck and Congratulations!

  6. With my first son, I worked up until exactly 7 days before he was born. I was working around 12 hours per day, and to say I was dragging was putting it mildly. Apples are supposed to help keep you awake, so, maybe try an apple for snack every day? Either way, good luck!
