Any outlets and cheap stores/$1 stores near Miami Airport?

I'm coming into Miami Airport and I'm planning to go Dolphin Mall (its near right?) and some other stores before I take the Tri-Rail to Ft. Lauderdale...r there any cheaper stores for general items- bath, body, clothes etc near there?

Consider the Tri-Rail schedule before you take the time to travel to Dolphin & the cost of doing so compared to the few dollars you'll save. While Dolphin does advertise a shuttle bus that stops at the airport it runs a lengthy loop & I am told takes about an hour.  You could end up killing several hours in transport & waiting time.  A cab there & back will probably eat up any cost savings.

Well, the Dolphin Mall is relatively near, but if you're not driving, you will have a hard time with the public transportation.  Even by car it's about 15-20 minutes on the highway and through crappy traffic.  I would skip it unless you have a specific reason for going there, it's not such a great mall, anyway.

If it's just to get hygiene and a little shopping--no need, you will find everything you need in Ft. Lauderdale.  If you really want to get to a great mall, we have some super ones in Ft. Lauderdale, and everyone loves to go to Sawgrass Outlet mall; you can't even cover it all in one day!
