so i am fishing for luvdisks at the pokemon league so i can get heart scales and after about 10 or so fishes a bump into a shiny gyrados!

what are the chances of it happening again?

you are probably being sarcastic but the chances of encountering a shiny pokemon are 1 in 8064!

it most likely wont happen again but strategies like chaining pokemon using the poke radar will help stack the odds in your favor.

I was about to erase mhy fire red and start over but then all of a sudden i found a golden steelix and about an hour later a blue psyduck!

There probably is a 1 out of million chance for it to happen again (not literally). shiny pkm are really rare to come upon.Hopefully you caught it!

BTW - go mining in the Underground there are a lot of heart scales.

I think that encountering another shiny will probably be 1 out of 6,000 or more pokemon.
