  1. choc

    coke

    burgers

    chips

    kebabs

  2. take your own food to a wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!

    HOW TIGHT IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Smoked Salmon, pate with crackers, saladbox, strawberries, champagne

First wedding I've heard where you have to take your own food.

  4. I see this wedding being more of a show than a ceremony.  If you have to sit on your blanket and eat.  I would bring food which would not drip as you ate at.  Crackers, cheeses, lunch meats.  Items like this.  Good luck!!!

  5. If it just for you then take your favourite items, if its for sharing it might be best to try and find out what other people are taking.

I hope you haven't gone over the top with a wedding present, that's taking things to the extreme, bring your own food - indeed

  6. MREs (Meals Ready to Eat)

And I thought I heard it all-----but to bring your own food to a wedding? Miss Manners would have a stroke...

  7. kfc

  8. How about barbeque items, like salads or pastas. A dessert dish would be safe.

Times are changing, and so are weddings. At least it will be more fun for the visitor!

  9. find some new friends.

  10. fried poo. always a winner.

  11. Cucumber sandwiches

    strawberries

    bread sticks and dip

    sausage rolls

    party rings

    fancy cakes

  12. Get the address and phone out for a take-away. I'd go for Indian.

If you can't do that, a couple of plain boiled eggs, a Scotch egg or two, pork pies , various sarnies (roast bbef, cheese& ham - don't forget the Branston's!, even cucumber) with a bottle of Thunderbird classic wine to wash it down.

Get a piece of cake fitting for your party and ask the bride & groom to cut it for you in the traditional pose as you pop Asti- Spumanti around. Have a good time.

  13. quiche and strawberries

  14. Taking your own food - that is a first.  I have never heard of that before.

I would take food that is not fussy - how about turkey breast salad (make with light mayo, honey mustard, celery and onion)?  Take a good bread, sliced Roma tomatoes and Romaine lettuce and assemble there, not ahead of time.  Take a veggie plate (cut up cucumbers, grape tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, celery).  You can include a small amount of Ranch dressing as a dip.  Don't forget to take your own plates, forks, etc as those may not be provided, either. Bottled iced tea and lemonade should make it complete.  (Make sure you put the salad in a cooler.)

You might want to make enough to share because I am sure not everyone will bring anything.  Good luck.
