Any pipe and park rider could help? is the burton ruler an idea boot for freestyles?

i had the burton hail for 2 days and the top(where it the strap on) of my foot is very dumb after an hour, an then my legs feel dumb too, that's after i exchange to hallf a size bigger. the burton ruler feel very nice to my foot, but just not sure is it the right boot to get if i am doing more pipe and park becoz it feel a little stiff, espically when i lean forward from landing? is it going to break in after a few days?

Boot flex is a very personally thing.  What works for me might not be the best feel for you.  some Park riders prefer a soft boot (lots of flex) where personally I prefer a stiff boot (less flex, more support).  The biggest issue is fit.  Don't get hung up on a brand or model until you have tried it (and many others) on to find the best fit.  Have fun in the park!


  2. Good advice by the guy above fit is the most important thing. If your boots are comfortable and you get no heel lift, then they sound like they are a good fit for your feet. But its likely if they are a stiffer boot they wont break in that much as some people prefrere a stiff boot and they are made to be like that. You should try some other brands other than Burton, they may have a better boot for you needs and foot shape. Good luck with the riding.
