Any places that deliver gifts to hospitals?

My friend is in the hospital, but I moved and can't visit him. I want to send him a gift like chocolate or fudge with a card. Are there any places that deliver to hospitals?

I could always have it sent to his mom and she can give it to him.

  1. most if not all of those gift companies that deliver will deliver to hospitals, think of all those people who get flowers sent to them in hospital with cards that say get well soon.

occasionally they wont be able to be hand delivered by the deliverer, depending on which ward/section of the hospital they are in. but that just means that a nurse or admin officer will take them to the patient.

so find a gift place that delivers, select the gift, and get it delivered to your friend, simple.

  2. Almost every Florist in town will deliver to a hospital.  If his diet is not restricted (the hospital food will be yuck), try edible arrangements.

Better than flowers and chocolate, an edible arrangement is a carefully designed fruit arrangement that you can eat.

They are reasonable (when compared to flowers), and taste good.

However, you need to make sure that it does not conflict with the diet.

But if you are thinking of a card or chocolate, then that may not be an issue.

The edible arrangements can be dipped in chocolate if that is what you want.

  3. No need to fret! Most companies will deliver your order to the hospital it self. All you need to do is provide them with the name of the patient. Some times they will ask for the room, but not all the time. They will then leave it at costumer service or information were they can get  it to the right place. If the business you go to feels uncomfortable delivering a gift to the hospital, just keep looking. Here is a website that you can browes for a gift and they will send it the the hospital for you.

Edit: I too was thinking of a ediable arrangment http://www.ediblearrangements.com/

But I just recently sent one to a dear friend in the hospital and it ended up they could not eat it. And one of the nurses told be that they highly discourage any food like such because it could cause a conflixt with the patient. (Just thought I would let you know)
