Any police men and women?

My friends and I were out and this guy drove up and started heckling us and calling us derogatory names. One of them alsoexposed themselves several times. They followed us and kept doing this for about an hour. We got the license plate number and I have already turned it in to police. How long does it usually take the police to use the license plate number to track someone down and aprehend them?

True.  It all depends on the priority order of your perp's crime compared to the police's other demands.

I suggest that you go back to the police and ask them what the status is, tell them that you want to sign a complaint.  They should be able to tell you what is going on.  If they are ignoring the incident you should ask why.

If they took a report it should not take to long. depending on the State that you are in you may have to swear out a warrant on them sense the officer did not witness there actions.
