Any police officer or detective that works in vice, or gang task force, how is it to work in those divisions?

If you can tell me an experience while working on a case that would be great.

would like to join the vice or gang task force division. Can't explain why I wan't to join, its just like a calling.

I don't work vice or gang task force but I have family that does and I know the job. I won't discuss any cases because that's not my story. The duties and tasks can be strenuous and there is definately a danger in the job. But isn't all police work? Nobody ever knows why or remembers what they signed up for other than to make a difference. If you feel that its a calling then get in motion and start making a difference and know that everytime you put on that badge you will make a difference for the better and for a positive outcome. The experiences you will gain and have are gonna last you a life time and I wish you the best of luck.
