Any possible way to get FREE caller ID on phone/computer?

Is there a possible way that I could get free caller id on my phone? I am not signed up wit the service on my home telephone line.

nope!! caller ID is a function of the central office. Unles you can get an engineer  to key the codes into the computer, the CO will not pass caller ID info to the subscriber.

There is no way to do that on your own...

u can do it but u will need a electronic code breaker which i think u will not be able to obtain since they are rare and not sold locally and if found quite expensive
