I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and have the symptoms of RLS. While trying to go to sleep at night i get these awful sensations in my legs. I was actually up til 4:30am last night fighting this. If there any moms out there that may have any suggestions that might help please let me know. THANK YOU!!!

  2. I am pregnant with my 5th kid and have gotten "restless leg syndrome" every time..I say it's the worst thing about pregnancy!

I have found that if 1 hour before bed you take 2 tylenol PM and a hot bath 1/2 hr before bed .. by the time you lay down. You should be nice and relaxed...plus the tylenol/benadryl combination helps you get a good nights sleep!

  3. Oh man, I hated that so much!  My legs would be so tingly, it would drive me absolutely insane.  I found that if I did some stretches and leg exercises before bed, it would minimize the chance of this occurring.

  4. I have it really bad, as well Charlie horses.

My doc recommended eating bananas, drinking loads of water and taking a hot bath before bed. She also said to avoid laying in bed before actually wanting to sleep. Sometimes if I go for a walk before bed it helps to.

It's no fun at all, good luck!

  5. me i dont rls but i have very bad cramps in my hips where i cant walk

  6. Yes me! I try to elevate my leg but i cant find much help for it!

  7. When I was pregnant I had the same thing along with charlie horses in the middle of the night, I actually fell off the bed in pain because of one once.  With the RLS my leg would twitch and it kept me from sleeping.  My doctor also recommended banannas and foods with potassium in them.  I would stretch my legs before bed and having a body pillow helped alot to put between my legs.

  8. When i was pregnant i had it so bad. When i went to our classes I was the only one wiggling and that's when i really noticed it. I don't have it any more now thank goodness.  I hated it and sadly i don't think there is anything you can do. Talk to you doctor about it and she maybe be able to prescribe something that's safe.

  9. OMG, I've been dealing with this for a few weeks now. I try my best to get some comfort with a pillow between my legs, but it really doesn't help much.
