I like stuff like the Twilight series and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. And stuff about teenagers in the present time.

I don't like stuff like The Pigman.

Any suggestions?

  12. The noughts and crosses series by Malorie Blackman. Very intriguing and a genuine reflection of our society and the problems and issues facing teens today. Here is the blurb on the back cover:

Callum is a nought-a second class citizen in a world run by the ruling crosses...

Sephy is a cross, daughter of one of the most powerful men in the country...

In their world, noughts and crosses simply don't mix. And as hostility turns to violence, can Callum and Sephy possibly find a way to be together?

    They are determined to try.

    And then the bomb explodes...

Yep, this is a good series but it can be very heavy reading sometimes. If you don't like this suggestion I recommend any book by Jodi Piccoult, especially the Pact and Nineteen Minutes.
