Any reccomendations for a new set of irons?

I am looking for a new set of irons. i used to play off 7 when i was a junior but not played in a while and wanting to start again. anyone got ay reccomendations for irons for a mid to low handicap?

depends on what you are looking for really,,

but in my opinion i would reccomend a few

for distance Wilson Staffs Di7

for feel Mizuno MP 60

for control Callaways, either X forged or X 20 tours

For all round i really like my ping S58

Callaway makes the most forgiving irons bar none. You cannot go wrong and will not be dissapointed with any set of X-series irons i.e. (X-18 or X-20). The Big Bertha irons and Callaway Fusions are also outstanding. If you are dead set against Callaway I would check out the Titleist, Ping,Taylor Made and Cleveland sets. Those along with Callaway make up "The Big Five" and represent the best quality clubmakers in golf, NO MATTER WHICH CLUBS YOU GET,  BE SURE TO GET CUSTOM FITTED PROPERLY; DO NOT BUY OFF THE RACK. IT MAKES A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. You can get fitted at any Edwin Watts or Golfsmith.

Since you were a 7 at one time you probably want something fairly traditional looking with some modern game improvement.  I would recommend the Calloway X-20s.

Mizuno MP-57, Cleveland CG Red, or Callaway X-20.

Mizuno mp57 or the Cleveland CG 2's. Great for the skilled player who still needs a little forgiveness. I used the CG2's for the first time yesterday and thought they work the ball great. I used the mizunos when they came out and couldn't miss with them. I did break the shaft on the 3 and 4 iron from mizuno though.  but mizuno replaced the club in less than a month after i sent it to them. Mizuno makes the best irons in golf. Cleveland makes the best wedges.
