I own a juice bar and have lots of peelings/pulp leftover and I hate throwing it away because I hear that there are many uses for them. Does anyone have any recipes/ideas? Thanks.

p.s. - i use pretty much all fruits but papaya.

  1. Yard and kitchen waste account for approximately 30% of our landfills. Your compost pile will need 2 things: green material (your fruit leftovers) and brown material, like leaves, grass clippings or shredded paper. Here are a few sites to give you some ideas and good luck-

  2. Haha, every fruit but papaya- intersting selection! Allergy maybe?

Well, the peels of the fruits are VERY nutritions, and the pulp is VERY fiberous. Perhaps you could work with another company to take your peels and pulps, and somehow work them into a fruity-granola bar. They would contain lots of vitamins and fiber if you used both the pulp and peel. Or, you could try making this bar yourself, though that may be somewhat difficult.

If not, you may just decide to donate all the compost to a greenhouse or flower nursery near you! Compost is great for flowers!

EDIT: Go to a natural food store: they probably have stuff called "fruit leather". Thats a possibility, too!
