  1. French fries are meant to be eaten hot with salt and vinegar on them (or ketchup).

  2. You may think I am nuts, but yellow French's mustard is GREAT with fries!

  3. mayonnaise and minced roasted red pepper.  just eyeball it and mix together

  4. ok, mash the avocados as if you were making guacomole. add that much sour cream, some lemon juice to thin it, and some fresh herbs like cilantro, sage, chives, garlic (crushed or minced) and a bit of salt to taste.

I make these sorts of things up as I go along and according to what Is fresh and on hand at the moment. Never make it taste the same twice in a row.

  5. Sour cream and ketchup mixed together!!

2 parts sour cream, 1 part ketchup.

  6. My huband's favorite is Mayo mixed with lemon pepper, and ketchup. I prefer a good Tarter sauce with mine"homemade usually". You get the sour with the sweet and creamy. But heres a few recipes to try if you want. But dont be afraid to experiment its half the fun of playing with your food..lol

    Fry sauce:

    Ingredients

    1/2 cup mayonnaise

    1/4 cup barbecue sauce

    Directions

    1Put in small bowl.

    2Mix together.

    3Serve with French Fries.

White bbq sauce: also good for french fries too

    Ingredients

1 cup mayonnaise, i use hellmans but try your favorite

1 cup cider vinegar, I use Heinz

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, can use bottled but fresh is the bomb

1-1 1/2 tablespoon black pepper, depends on you

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, here's the zing but not too much really

    Directions

1Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate for 8 hours for best result (you can use it pretty quickly however in a pinch). Brush lightly or marinate over chicken, turkey or pork. If brushing lightly do last few minutes of grilling. Can be used as a dipping sauce as well.

2This amount easily covers 6 pieces of chicken so you can adjust accordingly if you are marinating or just brushing it on.

Honey BBQ sauce: just pick your fav from the store

I also have used Krafts sundried tomato salad dressing as a lighter french fry dip and it was darn yummy. Their raspberry vinegarette is good for bread dipping sauce too.
