  1. The Palermo area is beautiful, with old houses, chic shops and a bohemian flair. If you get there early in december you may catch a polo match, it is really exciting!

  3. here are some link you can check out :)

  4. Caminito, where the tango started.

Boca, beside the stadium wich is very famous there, it's nothing, it's a poor neighborgood so you better be careful

Recoleta, one of the nicest neighborhoods, great for shopping

Puerto Madero, a lot of nice restaurants in there, the casino, great views.

There's great food in there, great meat, you'll definitely will have a great time! Enjoy!

  5. Visit the cross of Jesus near Rio on the mountain.

  6. No answer yet. Sorry, this is the only way I know how to keep your name in my mail box.

  7. You must go to a soccer game. Specially to a derby between Boca-River in la "Bombonera" Boca's Stadium. It just amazing man. No words to describe that!

  8. First of all, the "cross of Jesus" is the Corcovado, which is in Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - NOT Argentina.

Having said that, visit the Casa Rosada (where Evita made her famous speeches), the Recoleta Cemetery (where she is buried), La Boca (an old Italian immigrant part of town), Caminito (where they got the name for the famous tango song), Puerto Madero (restaurants and shops), and Galerias Pacificas on Calle Florida.  Eat at Cabanas Las Lilas in Puerto Madero fo excellent meat.  Eat at Bice for great Italian.  Off the beaten path for Italian is La Parolaccia, which is excellent.  Take a tour of the Teatro Colon, which is being remodeled right now, but is beautiful.  There are also many museums, etc.  You won't be bored.

If you have time, take an excursion to a 'quinta' (ranch) for the day.  You will see the traditional Argentine 'gauchos' (cowboys) and how they prepare an 'asado'.  It's a blast and worth the day trip.

Remember that the seasons are reversed, so it's summer down there in December.  So, it will be hot and not all places have a/c.

    Have fun!

  9. Any trip to Buenos Aires in December should include a trip to Punta del Este in Uruguay.  This place is incredible.  Just take the ferry from the Buquebus terminal near Puerto Madero to Montevideo.  Transfer to the bus station and, 5 hours later, you'll be sitting on the beach with the most attractive humans south of the equator.

  10. For meals, don't miss: Tancat, Cabana Las Lilas and De Olivas i Lustres

For Shows: Tango music and dancing at El Viejo Almacen or a show at the gorgeous Teatro Colon

Take a bike tour of the city - this is SO fun and interesting: http://www.biketours.com.ar

Have a blast!  It is a fantastic city!
