I'm planning to travel to Europe next summer for about a month, and i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations about anything really, food, hostels, places to see, i have a budget of about $6,000-7,000(US), and i am planning to go to Dublin, Edinburgh, London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Milan, Rome, Sorrento, Capri, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Warsaw, Berlin, Brussels, Bern, and Amsterdam. Any advice would help.

  1. I've been in Rome, Sorrento, Florence and Vienna, but had plenty of money because the company was paying for it. Florence didn't impress me too much, but Sorrento was worth it, because Vesuvius and Pompei are nearby. I'd suggest Prague, a beautiful city, and besides I was born there and try to come back every year.

  2. Why not rent bicycles and stay in private homes as you travel throughout Europe.  This way you'll save a ton of cash and really get to know the people and the countries and maybe stay longer.

  3. I would fly into Spain and cruise to most of these places.  You can always get off the boat when it is at port.  It will save you hotel and food expenses and possibly hit some of the islands of Greece while you are at it.  The money you will have should more than cover this trip.  Hope you will have fun...go on Royal Caribbean.  They are the best in my book.

  4. 19 cities in 30 days, that would leave you about a day in each place plus travel days. Reevaluate your list, 2-3 days in each place is more realistic. Yes, Prague should be on your list.

  5. well i've been to rome, i wouldn't be able to recommend any hotels because i didn't pay much attention to that, during the day get your food from the little carts around (the best food ever lol) as for sights I'm sure you'll be seeing all the old sights so u should be fine there. the other place i've been to our of thos is amsterdam (3 times) i have family back there, if ur ganna go around there make sure u use a bike at least once while your there its a lot of fun and very1 uses them there. anyways i hope u have a lot of fun!

  6. I just got back from Norway, Amsterdam, and London about 3 weeks ago. Norway is something I recommend.. everyone is friendly and god dam it's such a beautiful place especially up in the mountains. Amsterdam is AMAZING especially the red light district and London was crowded but I loved everything about it.

  7. You should put Prague on your list...honestly....if you're visiting that many places in Europe you can't miss Prague.

  8. Look into hostels. They'll probably be your cheapest place to stay.

Find local grocery stores instead of eating out all the time.

It sounds like an AWESOME trip. I hate to say this, but maybe even cut out some cities so you can spend more time in each place you see. London is awesome (try to get to the war museum if you have time and find 1/2 price theater tickets at least once). I spent two weeks in Paris as a kid and I don't think we saw everything.

If you add a place, try Innsbruck in Austria. It's gorgeous there, you can take a trip into the Alps for a day.

    Have fun!

  9. Wow, I am envious.

If you like architecture, make sure to check out all the works by the great Gaudi which are scattered all over Barcelona, they are pretty neat. Brussels - they have just renovated and reopened the Atomium, the building that is shaped like the model of an atom. That is probably pretty cool.

If you see Amsterdam last and have a bit of money left, I totally recommend renting one of those house boats and sleep on the canals. And make sure to have a taste of all those awesome belgian beers. cheers!
