  1. My favorite little, inexpensive Parisian hotel is the St. Andre des Arts. I've been staying there on trips to Paris for over 30 years. Its at 66, Rue St André des Arts in the 6th arrondissement. The location is as perfect as it gets and the price of 89 euros for a double with en-suite facilities, breakfast and taxes included is very reasonable.

    They don't have an Internet presence but you can either phone (Tel 01 43 26 96 16), fax (01 43 29 73 34) or e-mail (hsaintand@wanadoo.fr)

Now understand this is NOT the Holiday Inn in Omaha. There's no elevator, no minibar, no TV, no room service, fitness club, or swimming pool.  People who think those sort of things are absolute necessities will hate it. But I love it, and everyone who I know personally and have sent there loves it.

  2. If you want to know information of nice hotels in Paris then you can find it information & Booking from this website http://www.stayresfrance.com/paris_hotel... I hope it mustbe usefull for you.

  3. I always stay at the Hotel Saphir Grenelle. It is a two star, very clean, and has recently been renovated with new drapes, bedspreads and flat screen TVs. The rooms are small, but if all you are doing is sleeping there, it is perfect. It is not a Best Western, but neither is Paris located in the US. It is a nice little European hotel and very good value for your money.

It is located ten minutes from the Eiffel tower (on foot), at 10, rue du Commerce. You can stay there for five nights for E250 (August prices, I just checked, they have a special, September might be less). Taxi from Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport to the hotel is about E65. I usually take the airporter, but if there are two of you, a taxi is just as cheap.

The hotel is located half a block from the Motte Piquet Grenelle metro stop. You would buy a week long subway pass and have unlimited access.

There is a Monoprix (department store with full grocery store upstairs) on the corner. You can get continental breakfast at the hotel, but I usually go to the bakery/cafe next door where there is more variety (cheaper and more interesting).

There is a huge outdoor market (underneath the above-ground metro line) on Wednesdays and Sundays. Plenty of restaurants and boutiques within walking distance.

This hotel is smack in the middle of a real neighbourhood. The staff are fabulous and helpful. I can't recommend it highly enough. It is a gem.

  4. i recently stayed in hotel chambiges which is right near champ elyses and within the central district.  it is a 4* hotel and was very good - cost was around Euro 200 though.

  5. Log onto www.tripadvisor.com.  Search for Paris, France.  Click on "hotels".  You will see 1765 hotels ranked by people's reviews.  You can read everyone's opinions of their stay at that particular hotel.  We are going to Paris the end of September and after much research, we chose  Hotel de la Motte Picquet (#26).  I did find that you will usually get a better deal booking directly through the hotel.  If you are interested in ths one, this is their website:

    http://www.paris-hotel-mottepicquet.com/...

Trip advisor is also a great site when you click on "Things to do".  They again are ranked by people's favorites.  Enjoy Paris!

  6. try www.frommers.com. has list of best and of budget hotels.
