We prefer a hotel which is not too far from the airport, within the city center and is close to tourist attractions. Also, which is better, Madrid or Barcelona?

You can even able to filter out hotel by its features such as Star hotels,Business Center, Room Service, High-speed Internet, Fitness Room, Restaurant Parking, Swimming pool, Pets Allowed, Airport shuttle, Handicap Accessible, Concierge ...

Access lots of USA and worldwide travel information.

  2. The city center is the area to be in for tourist attractions, but you will need to work out your preferences using maps , pricing , what you think you like from pictures.

Generally , the higher the star rating the better the hotel, but often the price goes up :

Try these sites and areas :

    Madrid : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Spain...

    Spanish site : http://www.hotelsespanol.com/Spain/Madri...

    Old Quarter : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Spain...

Also, which is better, Madrid or Barcelona?

How to answer this in a million different ways ?   I guess Barcelona attracts more tourists, so that may be your answer , but this is so subjective and impossible to answer rationally.

Las Ramblas is an interesting area - you should research this if you want - here's some places to stay if you change your mind:
