Any recommendations for a good eyebrow tweezer?

The one I have is a bit "bulky", I want something that will get real close to the skin. I heard theirs some that will not hurt as much. Also, how much should I be looking to spend on a worthy plucker? Thanks!

  1. their curved

  2. Tweezerman is by far the best brand for tweezers. They specialize in just this tool (hence their brand name) so they are always of good quality. A Tweezerman tweezer runs from $14-$25 at Sephora, depending on the size (mini or full), style (pointed, slanted, or both), and color/pattern. A regular, drugstore tweezer runs from $3-$10. The quality of tweezers don't vary as much as other beauty tools, unless you're comparing a Dollar Store tweezer to a Tweezerman. However, I still think the extra couple bucks is worth it.

I've never heard of a tweezer that makes tweezing hurt less, but I know of a few tips and tricks to ease the pain.

    - Always tweeze after a bath, it will open up the pores and tweezing or threading will be less painful.

    - Avoid tweezing the week before or during your period. The body and skin is extremely sensitive during this time. The best time to tweeze is the week after.

    - Rub the eyebrow area with a cotton ball soaked in an astringent. This numbs the skin for sometime and you do not feel much pain.

    - Always pull in the direction of the hair growth, never against it. This also prevents ingrown hairs.

    - Use a cotton ball or pad soaked in pure tea tree oil or witch hazel to soothe your tweezed brows.

    - You may also run an ice cube over the brows after tweezing.

    - There are also products and creams to apply after tweezing, like this one from Sephora:

  3. Tweezer man. You can get them on line, at Bath and Body, or Linen and Things

  4. Plucker: $10-$20

But your best bet would be to just trim the brows.  What you do is you brush the hairs up (with a brow brush or tooth brush) and with scissors trim JUST the hair that goes above the upper brow-line.  Then pluck any stray hairs underneath the brows.  The tweezers you want for doing this should have a 45 degree angle.
